Excursions in Haraka

From our apartments you can explore the southern part of Mt Psiloriti and visit the archeological sights of the Valley of Messara (Gortis- Phaestos- Agia Triada and more).

The islands Paskimadia which you can visit by sailing a small boat, are across from Agia Galini. The caves along the coast are accessible only by boat. According to myth, one of these caves, which can be accessed on foot, the know cave od Deadalus and Ikaros, was the lab of the mythical worker.

The beautiful beaches of Agios Georgios and Agios Pavlos are close by and can be accessed by a small boat or by car. Frequent excursions are organized from Agia Galini to Matala, Moni Preveli, Plakia Fragokastelo, the area of Sfakia, the renowed canyon of Samaria, the archeological sights of Knossos, Phaestos, Gortis and Agia Triada.

In the village of Agia Galini there is a wide variety of taverns and restaurants as well as bars and clubs which will light up your night life. You can take invigorating swims and enjoy water sports in the Libyan Sea or take long, calming walks on the mountains surrounding the village.
